What is the difference between Basic and Light render modes?
Both render modes calculate light to generate images, but their usage may vary depending on the purpose. The Basic mode provides accurate physical calculations but is slower, while the Light mode is optimized for performance and renders quickly. Refer below to choose the render mode that best suits your workflow.

Basic Mode
Multiple reflections of light and accurate physical representation of shadows allow for a wide variety of BDRF(Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function) representations.
You can easily apply texture mapping using projection.
You can use the camera's Focus Range(DoF) feature to emphasize the depth of your scene.

Light Mode
Fast rendering speeds make it easy to see and share design concepts.
It is advantageous for expressing luxurious reflections and smoothness (e.g., water, metal, glass, gemstones).
