Light

Enhance rendering effects by applying lights to the projects. Improve the color, shadows, and gloss effects of the materials applied to the model.

Add Light

You can add new lighting through Topbar → Add light.

When you select one of the three types of lights, it will be placed in the center of the Viewport.

You can find the added light in the Scene list.
Change the sorting condition from All to Light to view only the lights.

Remove Light

Select the light, then right-click RMB to open the menu and choose Delete,
or use the shortcut keys to delete it.

  • Shortcut : Backspace or Delete

Control Light (Common features)

Each type of light has different settings and controls.

In general, you can move and rotate the light by manipulating the gizmo
that appears when you select the added light.

When you select a light, you can change its Color and Power in the properties panel.

  • Color : Change the color of the light.

  • Power 1~100 : Set the light intensity, with higher values producing stronger light.

Spot Light

This light projects a conical beam from a central point, illuminating the area within and around its range.

You can adjust the direction of the light using the direction handle.

The beam angle can be adjusted using the sizing handle.

  • Softness 0~1 : Set the light spread; higher values create a softer spread of the specified color.

  • Beam Angle 0~90˚ : Adjust the angle of the cone to change the range of light.

  • Light Direction : Adjust the direction of the light by dragging the mouse.

Point Light

This light emits illumination outward from the center of a sphere.

Area Light

This light projects illumination in one direction within a rectangular range.

You can adjust the direction of the light using the direction handle.

The size can be adjusted along the X and Y axes using the sizing handle.

  • Size : Adjust the width and height of the light. Proportional to the size, the intensity of the light increases.

  • Light Direction : Adjust the direction of the light by dragging the mouse.


Constraints

By default, if the light source is inside a model, the light will not penetrate through the model.

For realistic rendering features like light, shadow, and material effects,
the Viewport may not show detailed depictions for fast performance.

You can see accurate and detailed results using rendering.
